Wine, Cheese and a Conversation About Toxic Masculinity and God

What does it mean to be a ‘real man’?

some argue that traditional masculinity is under siege. others cite mounting evidence that certain celebrated versions of masculinity lead to untold harm: #metoo; domestic violence; the objecti cation of women and girls; suicide rates among young men. What makes masculinity toxic? Who–or what–is to blame? What does it look like to raise boys who don’t perpetuate the problem? does God, and should God, have anything to say about what it means to be a man?

on this evening we’ll engage with these questions
and more. you’ll have a chance to ask questions, or to simply sit and listen to what other people have to say. this event is for everyone - from the skeptically minded to the christian believer. All welcome.
