Preschool

For 60 years, St John's has been serving the community of Ashfield through its highly regarded Pre-school. Ten years ago, the Pre-school was spearated as a distinct financial entity, but St John's continues to exercise a leadership role.

Centre Aims

St John's Pre-school aims to provide a friendly, caring and educational environment for the children and parents.

With this we aim to:

• Foster a sense of belonging for children and parents.
• Provide a quality educational program tailored to suit each individual child and their social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs.
• Encourage children to accept responsibility and develop independence in some daily activities.
• Establish a comfortable and warm atmosphere where each individual is respected.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment for all concerned, with clear expectations for staff, parents and children.
• Encourage children to interact with other individuals in a socially acceptable manner, while recognising that all others have equal rights which should not be infringed.

Age

Children may be enrolled from the age of three (3) years to five (5) years or until eligible for enrolment at school.

Trained Staff

All staff are Early Childhood trained.
